Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actor who is best recognized for her role as House in Fox's medical drama House. In a strict Jewish background, Lisa Edelstein relocated from Wayne into New York City when she was 18 to attend Tisch School of the Arts. She became very involved with the club scene in New York City and made enough noise that she was noticed from the news media. In the meantime, she was becoming more aware of AIDS its devastating consequences. The singer used her training in music and fame to make and appear in a new musical, Positive Me. She landed her first job on MTV as the host of Awake on The Wild Side shortly after. After the show was finished the actress went on to work in movies as well as TV productions. Her first job was in smaller roles, and then became established gradually as an actress.
