Amber Benson (born April 14 in 1970) is an American singer, actress as well as a writer and director. Most well-known is her playing Tara Maclay from the TV Series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Benson is also the director of her films Chance, Lovers Liars & Lunatics and was the lead actress in them. Additionally, she was Bride in Kiss the Bride movie. Benson was the youngest child of Edward Benson and Diane Benson. Benson was born in Birmingham, Alabama on 8 January 1977. Benson has a younger sister Danielle Benson, who has a career as an artist. Benson went to an Reform Jewish synagogue when she was growing as a child. Her mother was a Southern Baptist and raised Jewish by her father, is too Jewish.
